On my New Ipad Mini 6 I use Chrome as my brower, is that safe?

Hi I have a Macbook Pro and an IMAC and I just got a new Ipad Mini 6. On my other 2 computers I've always used Chrome to sync my Passwords and History. On the Ipad Mini every time I sign on to Chrome I am supposed to get a 2 step verification. I do not have my Phone anymore so it's not letting me log on. How do I change the confirmation from my phone # to my email so I can gain access. Also I can still use iCloud and Safari when I want? Any help is appreciated. I really don't want to take 2 step verification off of my Ipad Mini 6.

Open Chrome on your computer, go to settings and change how you sign in using 2FA there.

Thank you very much. I will try that. Also I don’t know if you are able to help me but I putGoogle Chrome as my default browser but whenever I go into it, it says Chrome isn’t my browser and when I go back into settings I keep seeing Safari. I’ve changed it at least 15 times back to Chrome. Any reason why this is happening. Originally it was set as Safari but I changed it because all of my other computers are syncing with Chrome.

Where are you changing it?

To change your search engine (regardless of what website you're using), go to Settings > Safari > Search Engine

You can choose from Google, Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo and Ecosia
