will not connect to wifi except at home

IPhone will not connect to any Wi-Fi network other than at home. Says “no internet connection” and blames the router or settings of the network to which it’s trying to connect. These networks are all known to be operating. Any suggestions?

When you are in range of the network tap the i next to the network name, then Forget this network. Then connect again. Many unsecured networks are poorly configured, and don’t respond well to repeat visits.

If they are public Wi-Fi that require browser login rather than a Wi-Fi password, see→Use captive Wi-Fi networks on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

To tell the difference, in your list of networks in Settings/Wi-Fi, networks with a lock icon require a Wi-Fi password; Networks that don’t have a lock icon may prompt you to log in on a web page. Many do not, but they may still require that you accept terms of use.
