Read this blog by the person behind RAW Power which works with your Apple Photos Library but offers more advanced functionality.

They have their own solution for adding RAW support ahead of Apple and while R10 has not been added yet he does suggest emailing him with your camera request. I reckon he'd likely say yes to the R10. If so then have a look and think about whether you want to purchase RAW Power (the person behind it is ex-Apple from Aperture photo days) as an integrated part of your Photos workflow. Otherwise, as other have suggested here Adobe DNG is the way to go.

We are not apple here, just users like you. So we don't anticipate anything. What version of MacOS do you have?

This list shows what cameras are curently supported in Monterery. As far as I can see the R10 is not supported.

Apple is not quick to update for new cameras. Worse, they don't communicate any sort of roadmap or timeline. It is not even possible to say if they will support a particular camera.

Your only options are:

* to wait - and if you like convert your raw files to DNG raw format using Adobe's free converter, which you should then be able to use in photos.

* Or... use software which does support your camera.

Sorry I can't provide more positive information.
