Dropped my iPhone se (2020) in a shallow river for about 5 seconds it went off. I have left it since yesterday but it still won’t turn on

I dropped my iPhone se 2020 (supposed to be waterproof) in a shallow river for a few seconds. It went black, I have left it since yesterday and tried this morning to turn it on but it won’t work. What should I do?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Yes, let it dry out (and cross your fingers).

As far as "water resistant" devices, see this support article:--> About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later - Apple Support

Your iPhone is water resistant, not waterproof, sorry.

If it doesn't turn on, liquid damage might have reached internal components and, should be this case, unfortunately there's nothing you can do, except waiting for it to dry completely (put it in a jar with many silica gel sachets and do not try to turn it on or charge for 48 hours).
