Apple Wallet

Changing the verification number for apple wallet...the correct number is in settings but it keeps using my home number to send the verification code to. I have deleted the number 10 times and when I get to the verification page, it still has my home number, not the cell number (that is in settings)! The home number is a landline and can't receive a text obviously. The home number is checked and won't let me change it. I have even deleted the card and loaded it back to the wallet. Verification keeps sending the code to the wrong number. HELP.
