Problems installing Office365 on new Macbook Air?

Purchased the MSOffice Home and Student from Apple when I purchased the new Macbook (for the discount), but when I attempted to install using the provided product key, received this message:

A Problem has occurred that needs your attention:

Error Code Generated: SR98E4SH-S

Your Key has been redeemed successfully however

the installation could not be started.

Do not try reinstalling Microsoft Office with the

same product key, it might block your product.

Phone verification required to reactivate the product key.

I didn't receive a call or text to the phone number i provided and there's no link to start any sort of verification process. Anyone else run into/solve this yet?

Seems if there were a package valid for a newer M1 or M2 Apple

that should just work; since it doesn't, find their main Sales Help?

Apple Sales Help, may be first?

Maybe you'd need to check "Microsoft Office Help and Training" site

to see where their helpfulness may take you. ~Perhaps the Office365

version might not be fully ready for 'Apple Silicon'? Should be though.

Some 'office-like product' users have found LibreOffice [info] adequate.

Thanks. Turns out that the instructions in the box with the product key sent by Apple take you to a website that’s no longer supported by MS with a help number that’s also not supported by MS. So the site will recognize a valid product key but won’t allow you to download the program for installation. I eventually got to where I needed to go by going to the general MS office installation support page, navigating to MS Office Installation troubleshooting for Macs, and eventually picking the right FAQ. You have to either start by signing into or creating a Microsoft account.
