Extra $$ on monthly installment

I purchased an Apple Watch using the Apple Pay. I am trying to pay extra on the monthly installment and have NO other charges on the card. I contacted an Apple Advisor and followed her directions; ended up paying only the monthly installment. Very frustrated! Help! Maybe this community will assist me for next month!
