Is this all email links or isolated to one particular email...(?)

Verify Safari is set as your default browser and test—

Quit mail, quit Safari—relaunch both holding the Shift key and compare your results...

Or Right Click on the link in the e-mail and choose to " Open With " in the submenu and choose the alternate Web Browser

That works on my machine using Safari and Firefox v 103
