What makes you think someone is “intercepting” them?

Are they iMessages or SMS/MMS messages.

Unless they are sharing an iCloud account with you or the recipient, that shouldn’t be possible without very expensive equipment or involvement by law enforcement.

I was standing in front of my friend while texting him and I got a reply. He didn’t have his phone on him, and told me he hadn’t received any texts from me in over ten days. It’s normal for him to text me every other night to make sure I’m alright. I haven’t received any from him either. All since I broke up with my fiancé.
