Cellular Data System Services Focus Usage

Hello,

I was checking my cellular data usage and I have previously had issues with System Services using a large amount of data however I have typically found the cause of that usage and fixed whatever issue there was is applicable. However, when I checked this time, I saw a new category within System Services that was using data, Focus. I assume that this has to do with the "new" focus mode that Apple introduced with the last iOS update but I fail to see how this new focus feature would use close to a gigabyte of data within the span of 3 weeks. It seems to be a simple filter which could be completed on the phone without needing a constant internet connection. If anyone has any suggestions/solutions, let me know!

Thanks,

Andrew

Hey AndyVandy9,

We'd be happy to help out. Sounds like you're concerned about cellular data usage with regards to Focus.

This would just indicate that cellular data was used while a particular focus was enabled. This could be things like Bedtime, Driving, and other Focuses. This doesn't mean that the feature itself is using cellular data, as this isn't required for a Focus to be enabled.

We hope that clarifies things for you. For more help managing cellular data, please review: Use cellular data on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Take care!
