Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
My young son will be walking to school this year and I want to give him a cell phone with talk and text and very minimal data. He needs the data so I am able to track his location. Will 250mb be sufficient for the month? I’m trying to understand how much data his phone would use when not in wifi location (school has wifi) for me to be able to locate him. Thanks

We would not be able to predict how much data would be needed to accomplish this. There are a ton of variables that could impact how much data is used. It’s possible that your cellular provider will be able to provide a bit more insight to the plan that would be best.
As an alternative, you can also get a watch for your child a Cellular Apple Watch. They can make phone calls, send messages, and share their location with you.
