Issues with setting up Air Drop

Hi all. I recently purchased the iPad Air (5th generation) and I can't seem to get my AirDrop to work. I have ensured that my WiFi is on (and connected), my Bluetooth is on, and that my AirDrop preferences are set to "Everyone". When I try to find my iPad on AirDrop, it fails to show up on other devices. However, I am able to see other devices from the iPad's Airdrop (hence I can upload files to others but cannot receive any files). I have tried restarting the iPad, turning off Wifi, Bluetooth, and AirDrop to reset it to no avail. My other classmates with the same iPad do not have any issues with their AirDrop so I believe that this is an issue with my own. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
