Face ID Is Not Available. Try setting up Face ID later

Hi! I have the iPhone 13 Pro with iOS version 15.6. One day my Face ID stopped to work. I reset the Face ID. Then when I tap "Set Up Face ID" I receive the message "Face ID Is Not Available. Try setting up Face ID later". I do not understand what's going on and how to fix this issue.

If you still see the "Face ID Is Not Available" message, try to restart your iPhone. A simple restart can resolve many issues.


  1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off.
  3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.


Still not able to set up Face ID? It may be time to contact Apple Support.
