I'm posting this as a feature request (if you ever see it). Can you add the option to put a "Mark all messages as read" in the top bar of the Mail.app? Like we have fetch mail and compose? Just one that marks all emails as read.

I can see it, but I can't do anything about it except suggest cmd-A, crtl-click > Mark as unread.
You could add the Read/Unread button to the toolbar, but you'd still have to cmd-A.
