Spam Blasted

There is another related post titled "junk mail filter and rules not working.

There seems to be a new, widespread reported spam epidemic that is making it hard for filters to defend. The titles include, but are not limited to, "kohl's", "Mcafee", "norton", "Ace Hardware" "Makita Power Drill" "Walmart" "CVS". The messages are not from these corporate servers, but rather a spam/bot imposter.

I use 2 devices: iPhone (iOS) and Mac OS, the Mac Mail client on both devices, and both devices retrieve mail from my same sbcglobal.net (POP) account. My Mac OS Mail client seems to be learning and filtering the junk well, but my iPhone Mail client is not learning the junk at all.

I have gone upstream to my sbcglobal account (which is hosted by yahoo server), logged in with a web browser and taken steps for the mail server to learn the junk/spam at that level, such as blocking senders and marking hundreds of messages as spam. But my iPhone mail is still getting plastered daily with about 40-50 of these. Again, my desktop Mac mail client seems to be filtering pretty well. It's just the iPhone that's out of control. Both devices retrieve mail from the same server. Any help?

are you saying if I use SpamSieve on my Mac, it will somehow reach over to my iPhone mail and stop the spam, even though I am not installing this app on the iPhone?

Yes, correct.

SpamSieve is an app only for macOS, there is no SpamSieve iOS version.

Since SpamSieve blocks everything from the MacOS, I don't even get spam on my Windows OS.

You can try the trial version, but I don't remember if it's 7 or 14 days, or maybe longer (?).

The manual, explanation and support are also good. You can also read the Manual first.

and both devices retrieve mail from my same sbcglobal.net (POP) account.
