Facetime not allowing to select SONY alpha camera as external video device!

Using my SONY A1 as web/streaming camera (Imaging Edge Webcam driver installed) on my iMac Pro and it works flawless with ZOOM for instance. But the camera does not show up in Facetime "video" menu. Why?

iMac Pro, macOS 10.15

Hi there freemee,

If you're not seeing your Sony camera as a video option for FaceTime on your Mac, it's most likely not a supported device for FaceTime.

If there aren’t any devices listed in the Video menu, FaceTime uses the built-in camera, microphone, and speakers.

This link provides more information: Choose a camera or microphone for FaceTime calls on Mac

We'd suggest reaching out to Sony's support team for more information about compatibility: Sony Support

Take care.
