Perhaps you had previously subscribed or had an app store item

that has an update, or other add-on; that keeps being added on?

The first thing to understand is that Apple will not just randomly charge you. All charges happen for a reason and in most cases, you need to be directly involved in starting them in some way.

There’s several ways for charges to happen that may pass by you.

  1. Apps with free trials will in most cases automatically renew into paid subscriptions unless you actually cancel them
  2. If you are the family organizer in a family sharing group, you will be charged for purchases and subscriptions started by anybody else in the Family Sharing group.
  3. Mistakingly buying things like songs or albums from the iTunes store when subscribed to Apple Music.
  4. If you share a payment method with someone else? Or share your Apple ID with someone else, then can make purchases ansd charge the to you.

You can click on the following link to see a listing of your recent purchases and identify any charges that you may not recognize: link-> If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement - Apple Support

You can verify any active subscriptions you may have that may be charing you recurrently: Link-> If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

If you are the Family Organizer in a Family Sharing group, you may need to to the same things on the family group members accounts.
