Cannot enable Wallet/Apple Pay on my new M2 MacBook Air

Cannot enable Wallet/Apple Pay on my new M2 MacBook Air. I get an error "Could Not Setup Apple Pay, Apple Pay has been disabled because the security settings of this Mac have been modified". I migrated from my old 2013 MacBook Pro. Not sure what security settings I need to fix to allow me to enable Wallet/Apple Pay. Thanks in advance for any information.

It’s not clear from your post if you are (were) already using ApplePay on other devices … ???


But based on the “security” comment in the message, I’d suggest ensuring that 2FA is enabled on your AppleID and that the Fingerprint reader is configured and functioning on your new MBA.
