Cannot enable Wallet/Apple Pay on my new M2 MacBook Air

Cannot enable Wallet/Apple Pay on my new M2 MacBook Air. I get an error "Could Not Setup Apple Pay, Apple Pay has been disabled because the security settings of this Mac have been modified". I migrated from my old 2013 MacBook Pro. Not sure what security settings I need to fix to allow me to enable Wallet/Apple Pay. Thanks in advance for any information.

Apple Pay disabled on Mac I have a Macbook Pro M1 and I was on latest Mac OS 17 and I decided to back up with time machine to a SSD and then delete everything using disk utility, to update to Mac OS 18.0 freshly, but now I can not add cards or use apple pay, It says that security settings were modified, and now is not allowed, what can I do?

Apple Pay has been disabled because of updated security settings I’ve just purchased a second hand MacBook Pro 16”. I can’t seem to use Apple Pay because I have this error/warning “Apple Pay has been disabled because the security settings of this Mac were modified.” looking at the apple solution it says to go to system preferences > software update > advanced and to check system data files and security updates. the problem I’m having is that the laptop is using OS Ventura and these options don’t seem to exist anymore. Does anyone know where I can find them or how to fix the issue?

It’s not clear from your post if you are (were) already using ApplePay on other devices … ???

But based on the “security” comment in the message, I’d suggest ensuring that 2FA is enabled on your AppleID and that the Fingerprint reader is configured and functioning on your new MBA.
