Lost/activation lock stuck cannot get undone on MacBook air

How do I deactivate my lock mode on my MacBook Air and get it out of lost mode when I forgot my 4 digit pin. I have reset my Apple ID and password and I have sent in my proof of purchase and so forth showing ownership and nothing 😭

Hello blunjaded,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

Have you received instruction since submitting the Activation Lock removal request? If not, you can check the status here: Recover Your Apple ID - Apple

In addition to checking the status of your request, take a look at the suggestion below: If your Mac is lost or stolen - Apple Support

If you can't unlock your Mac

After you locate your Mac, you can unlock it by entering the passcode that you created when you locked it with Find My.

If you can't remember that passcode, you have three options:

• Sign in to iCloud.com/find, then select your Mac from the Devices menu. Select Unlock and follow the steps to verify your identity.

• Unlock your Mac from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch using your device passcode.

• Take your Mac to an Apple Authorized Service Provider along with your proof of purchase.

We hope that helps to clear this up.

Have a great day!
