Why are all my pictures not on my computer

I was on vacation and went to load them to computer and all my old pictures are gone HELP

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

Well, and you're not interested in answering the second question:

Go to your Pictures Folder. How many photo libraries are there?

I suggest that you restore from your back up.

There were over 2000 pictures. Was strange when I came back and logged into computer they were all gone and computer was off for a month

no Need to be rude yes backed up but when I go into my photos on computer there are all empty
