As far as I can tell you just need a more modern browser than Safari in Mojave.

Might try this, it's Chrome Browser without google & without Ads...

Well, even if it does, older versions of macOS (Mojave and older) are not receiving Apple software updates or security fixes now anyway. It would be up to Apple to provide any relevant security update if they felt it was warranted for these older operating systems.
