MacOS Monterey hangs periodically

Hi,

I have noticed on my iMac 7" (Intel) ever since I upgraded to MacOS

Monterey two things:

  1. It appears to boot a little quicker, but is really slow after I enter my password.
  2. At least once an hour, it will lose connection with my magic mouse (bluetooth) and

claim it has lost connection. At this point, the desktop and Finder also freeze and there is no network

activity at all. The spinning beachball comes up .. and it hangs for about a minute. And then it will

resume.

I have been hoping that Monterey patches that have been released will address the problem,

but unfortunately, no.

This did not happen with Big Sur and prior.

Anybody else seeing this? I have run Disk repairs and it didn't find anything.

Very strange.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

Run the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected.

To look for possible software issues run EtreCheck and post the report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.
