Face ID

I do not want to set up Face ID on my 12 Pro Max, yet after the last iOS update it’s trying to force me to. I can’t get into my settings unless I complete this step, which I refuse to do.

Is there an escape from this?

This is the screen when I try to go into my settings:

Hi RoldanAQP,

After the initial setup with Face ID, you can adjust the settings for what you'd like to use the feature for. The steps below found in the guide page here can assist: Set up Face ID on iPhone - Apple Support

"Turn off Face ID

  1. Go to Settings  > Face ID & Passcode.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Turn off Face ID for specific items only: Turn off one or more of the options.
    • Turn off Face ID for face masks: Turn off Face ID with a Mask.
    • Turn off Face ID: Tap Reset Face ID."
