I’m being asked to sign in to an Apple ID to update apps that’s not my Apple ID.

iPhone 11, iOS 15

It sounds like at least some of the apps were purchased and/or installed with another AppleID.


Did this phone previously belong to someone else? Or did change your own AppleID?


FYI, ownership of apps generally transfers with the AppleID, not the physical device.


Those messages will continue to be received until you delete the offending app(s) and re-install w/ the current AppleID.
