Transfer of data from PC to iMac

Using Assistant, always getting an error and program quits. Help?

First, Don't use Wi-Fi! The easiest and most reliable method of migrating data from a PC to a new Mac is to put the data onto an External Hard Disk. The simply copy and paste the data from the External Hard Disk to the Mac. For example, if you have some Excel files you want migrated copy them from the PC to the External Hard Disk then copy the files from the External Hard Disk directly to the Mac.


You can also connect the computers together so they are on the same network via Ethernet. The simply follow the steps in Move your data from a Windows PC to a Mac - Apple Support
