Hey there Rgxb8,
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, is this issue occurring when on a WhatsApp audio or video call? We ask as there are a few different microphones on your iPhone, and depending on the call you're on, the device may be using a different microphone.
For steps on how to test each microphone on your iPhone, check out the steps below from the following resource: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working - Apple Support
If people can't hear you on phone or FaceTime calls
1. Open the Voice Memos app.
2. Tap the Record button
, speak at the bottom of your phone, then stop the recording.
3. When you play back the memo, you should hear your voice clearly.
If people can't hear you when you're using speakerphone
1. Open the Camera app.
2. Record a video while speaking at the top of your iPhone.
3. Tap the camera chooser
to switch to the other camera. Then record another video while speaking at the top of your iPhone.
4. When you play back the videos, you should hear your voice clearly.
If the microphone doesn't work in a specific app
1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
2. Make sure that the app is enabled.
3. If the app has permission to access your microphone, or if it isn't listed, contact the app developer.
If not having any issues with microphones after going through the steps above, and if the issue is only occurring when using WhatsApp, give the steps in this additional resource a try: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support
While we understand you're not having issues with the app quitting or not responding, the steps above can help with troubleshooting other issues you experience with third-party apps as well.
Keep us updated on the results.
Take care!
