I’m just hooking up my second Apple TV. The remote doesn’t seem to work. I plugged it in no light nothing. What am l missing?

The remote doesn’t have any (visible) lights. The Apple TV box should start up when connected to power, with a glowing status light. If your Apple TV doesn't turn on - Apple Support
