Failed to create bootable USB (Monterey)

Based on How to create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support

I tried to create a bootable USB drive with my 16GB usb stick. However, i got the following error:


bryan@BryansMacStudio ~ % sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Monterey.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/macOSMontereyUSB

The bless of the installer disk failed.


Could this due to the usb stick hardware issue?

The USB installer is successfully created after enabling full disk access for Terminal..thank you so much!

Have use various USB Sticks all 16 GB capacity and the below command has worked fine.


May check in Security & Privacy and make sure Terminal is listed as per below image


Below is predicated on the Full Version of Monterey Installer is located In the Applications folder


sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Monterey.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled


Untitled in above command , I gave to the Destination Drive
