Keyboard print on Mac screen

After a long use I’ve observed a pattern of keyboard buttons appeared on the Mac screen. How can we avoid it.

not recommend any keyboard cover—see

You can wipe your keys down, wash your hands, clean the screen...

Typically I use the Control Command Q to lock the screen/keyboard while I wipe it down.

If you have an on going issue— the Mac shipped with a tissue thin layer when package up as new to keep the keys separated from the screen— you can use this tissue layer if necessary.
