Apple IPad

We have a problem with my husband’s iPad when it is in the dock. The keyboard on the dock works but not the touch pad. There is no curser on the screen, and I have to use the screen touch instead. How can I fix this.

Thanks

Kathy

FWIW, I don't have your iPad model. I have a 2nd generation iPad Pro with the Apple Smart Keyboard. AFAIK, the keypad on this keyboard works just like those on my Macs. I can move the cursor, using a single finger in any direction. For scrolling, you would just use two fingers, held together, to scroll up/down or left/right. LotusPilot has already sent you an excellent link to show those gestures.

Thank you for your response. I thought it was a problem with the dock (Apple product) connection etc. but in the meantime I went back over the obvious in settings where I found a solution. So now the dock pad does everything but scroll up or down. I do that with my finger on screen. Is that the correct way to scroll up or down? Or am I missing something.
