If Automatic location is not working then change to manual...

>System Preferences>Date & Time>Time zone

Set the date and time on your Mac - Apple Support

If the date or time is wrong on your Mac - Apple Support

location service depend on sync—

If you are out of sync you can re-sync with Apple's time server, from the Terminal.app copy and paste:

sudo sntp -sS time.apple.com

(note: your psswd will not echo on screen type it in anyway, to proceed use the enter\return key.)
