MacOS Apple TV not playing certain episodes

I have never encountered this issue, and i use the TV app on macos a lot.

Multiple episodes of a series I am watching will play the 1min30 recap, before the player closes itself and I'm taken back to the library to select play again on the same episode. This process loops infinitely and other episodes will play without issue.

The library/episode info says the episodes are 50mins long, however on my iPhone 13 pro max/iPad air 3/M1 Macbook air 13"/M1 Macbook Pro 14"/samsung apple tv app will only stream or download and play the ~1min 30 recap before the player closes and I'm stuck in the loop.

This is a paramount+ show, for which I have a separate subscription. Given this happens on 4 different devices, I suspect it's an issue with the series?

I have tried restarting TV, signing out/de-authorising, safe mode and clearing local cache files for Apple TV but I can't solve the issue...
