Hello, I can't send a message or call anyone in Facetime, I tried to put my phone number in the settings but it didn't work until I put my email and I want to put my phone what do I do

Well, even when done correctly, following instructions
from the 'related' Apple Support article, above; expect
then, to wait maybe 24+ hours for activation to occur.
