so the backlight on my iPad Pro won’t work properly. It occasionally will turn on. But only when a small amount of pressure is pushed in the mid of the tablet. I do not wish to do that due to not wanting to ruin the screen or cause any more damage. In the right about of light you can see all the apps and touch screen works. So I’m not sure how to go about it. It’s not even a year old yet.

As described, your iPad screen has a fault - that will require service/repair. The entire screen (cover glass, digitiser, LCD, diffuser and backlight) are a single laminated assembly - and can only be serviced as a complete component part.
