iMessage unsuccessful activation

Good day, I recently relocated to South Africa, but when I changed my SIM card my iMessage and FaceTime won’t activate. It says “error”, is there anyway you could help me resolve this?

Firstly ensure that the region of the phone has been updated along with payment bank for the region.

Change region

Start here  Change your Apple ID country or region – Apple Support (UK)

Then

Set up imessage and facetime after change of number.

Settings, Messages, Turn off iMessage

Settings, Face Time, Turn off Face Time

Restart the phone.

Settings, Messages, Turn on iMessage, SMS, MMS

Settings, Messages, send & Receive, select your number which should now be there.

Settings, Face Time, Turn on Face Time

Problem activating iMessage
