After latest update iPhone volume will only go 1/4 of the way up.

update applied a couple of days ago on iPhone pro max (less than 6 months old). After update application volume resets to almost mute,

regardless of focus, and can’t be advanced up more than about a quarter of the way up. Is there a new setting or is this a malfunction. It happens on all connected devices as well. Device volume co trip will not override iPhone volume control. The mute to 1/4 becomes the entire range of the blue tooth device. Help?

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right

If you only hear through speakerphone mode --> If your iPhone is stuck in headphone mode - Apple Support
If the other person is not able to listen to you then please click this to identify the issue --> If the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch aren't ...

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support
