I have an iMac 21.5 inch, mid 2010. On macOSHigh Sierra. Should i be thinking of upgrading Mac over safety issues?

If by upgrading, you mean buying a new Mac, it’s probably time.

Your machine can not run anything later than macOS High Sierra.

If you're considering the new M1 Macs be sure to order the 16 GB RAM model and at least a 1TB SSD. They can't be upgraded after purchased.
