iOS 15.6.1 update causing touch issues!

I recently updated my iPad mini 4 to the latest iOS 15.6.1 because Apple stated that it’s an important security update, so I did. The following day, the iPad stop recognizing my fingerprint and the screen is lagging when I touch it and it’s double touching. I think Apple needs to release another update to solve this. I restarted the iPad and it didn’t solve it.

If you are experiencing difficulties or performance issues immediately following a system software update, you should perform a forced-restart of your iPad - as this will often clear an isolated software issue:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
