Itunes backup password

I had recently backed up my phone onto my computer so that i may reset it and restore it just because i felt it was needed after some time. However after doing that and wanting to select that backup, it had stated it had a password for it and i could not use it unless i knew it. I pretty much tried every password i could remember possible as it didnt have a penalty but could not get it to unlock. If theres any way i can get help with this itd be much appreciated just because all my important data is on there

I realise. In particular I was referring to this section:

If you have forgotten the password, or were not aware that encryption had been enabled, consider that it might be any computer, Apple ID, Wi-Fi password or device PIN that you've used in the past, working from the assumption that you might have reused a common password that you were using when encryption was first activated.
