Someone signed into my iMessage and Facetime and it was NOT me

This morning , I got a notification that someone logged into my iMessage and Facetime on an iPad, and it was not me. Can I just change my password to fix this issue?

Yes, you should change the Apple ID Password. If you think your Apple ID has been compromised
