Hi,

At least according to the specifications at https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8710-all-in-one-printer-series/7902014/model/7902020/document/c04959111, the HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer supports the driverless AirPrint technology (About AirPrint - Apple Support). This means that it should be possible to use the 8715 printer without additional drivers, provided that it is connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router) as your Mac computer. AirPrint allows both wired (Ethernet) and wireless (Wi-Fi) connections. Since the 8715 printer model has Ethernet, you could choose to wire it to one of the LAN ports of the router instead of using Wi-Fi, if you so wish.

In case of a problem with AirPrint discovery for one or more devices, and if all settings are OK, you may want to try the following full procedure:

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.

Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)

Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)

Also, check that the latest printer firmware is installed.
