Copy song from itunes to excel

Hi there,

For a project, I would like to create a database with excel that would have information about my music that is stored in my library in itunes (I own a macOS Big Sur version 11). The information I'm interested in is the name of the song, the artist and album, the size of the file, the duration, the release date and the genre. To collect all that information as fast a possible, I copy the song paste it on excel, like that the information about the song automatically inserts into excel.

As you can see, the title of the song has been paste, as well as the duration of the song, the artist's name, the name of the album, the genre and the play count. But the information I needed isn't. So my question is if we can choose the elements we want to be copy/paste, and in this case particularly.

Thank you for your help !

Elio,

To elaborate slightly on tt2's answer, set up the columns in Songs View with exactly the fields you want:

Then Copy/Paste into Excel, and you will get those columns in the same order:
