What does "relinquishing photo library to writer" mean.

Apple are not here. Just users like you. Perhaps you should consider that before insulting someone who is giving their free time for no reward in order to try to help.

No-one can work out what is going on from the OP. More detail is needed. What were you doing step by step. In what app, what happened, what did you see.

What version of MacOS

Where is the library stored?

Etc etc.

This is a valid question. I am receiving the exact same error message. Google search directs me to items that I can not complete, as this same error is thrown. Better defining the error with a User Friendly message that makes sense is software engineering 101 (the basic guys, come on). The current searches are meaningless and not helpful, neither is Old Toad, if you can't help, unless you consider being a wisenheimer helping (heres a clue, it is of zero help to a person having an issue), don't bother answering, your words are spam and wasted bandwidth.
