2-3 second screen blackouts started on my 2013 MacPro after upgrading Mac OS to12.5.1 from 12.5.0 . The monitor is an EIZO 2740 connected via its hdmi port to thunderbolt on the computer. Does anyone else have this problem? Fixes?

That appears to be a modern 4K display with USB-C, displayPort, and HDMI inputs.
I strongly recommend DisplayPort over HDMI. HDMI tends to require a lot of black magic when approaching 4K resolution.

The ThunderBolt-2 ports on the Mac Pro 2013 dark cylinder desktop computer can output Mini DisplayPort directly -- just plug in the cable. This eliminates any adapters or converters.

I switched cables and with Displayport the problem appears to be gone. Funny, I tried the displayport cable when I first set up the monitor and it didn't work. Now it seems fine.
