My iPhone had a factory reset because of a glitch in my update and I would like to retrieve my contacts and pictures that got deleted how to I get that back

My iPhone had a factory reset because of a glitch in my update . And I lost all my contacts and my pictures. But it keeps sending me notifications that my memory is full . I would like to know why and how I can get my contacts and pictures/videos back .

If the photos and/or contacts were synced with iCloud, turn on syncing again and they will automatically sync with the phone. See: Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support and Set up and use iCloud Contacts - Apple Support

If you have a backup to iCloud or a computer, restore the backup. See: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support
