I can't open the sim tray of my new iphone

Hi, I got a new iphone and I can't open the tray to insert the sim card.

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Hi, itinerantseagull, if you’re sure that your new iphone takes SIM cards, and doesn’t use an e-SIM card, eg, you actually need a physical SIM in the SIM card tray, then you should have been given a sim tray removal tool when you bought your iPhone… it should be in the box the iPhone came in… failing that, a straightened regular paperclip inserted into the hole at the front of the SIM tray should release it /somewhat eject it from the body of the iPhone and allow you to put the SIM card into the SIM card tray, correctly, eg gold side down, and line up the cut corner on the sim with the cut corner of the SIM card tray… do you have a model number for your new iPhone?? If you go here( see link) https://everymac.com/systems/apple/iphone/index-iphone-specs.html .. it’ll tell you about your new iPhone… usually the model number is on the back of your iPhone and starts with “A”, then 4 digits/numbers
