My I mac is a 27 inch late 2009 with mac os sierra. I need to update to 10.13 or higher and can not get that done. Can you advise how to do that?

I need to update my iMac fromOS Sierra 10.12.6 to something higher. I keep getting error messages. Please advise how to do this

High Sierra 10.13.6 is the highest version possible. See the following from Identify your iMac model - Apple Support


iMac (27-inch, Late 2009)

Model Identifier: iMac10,1

Part Number: MB952xx/A, MB953xx/A

Latest compatible operating system: macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
