Hi all,

I have a ton of podcasts on my iPhone, and they all play just fine. However, when I plug my iPhone into my Macbook Pro and I look in the Podcasts list in the iPhone section, there's nothing there whatsoever. Which means I'm not able to delete them. Is there any way of remedying this without having to restore the whole phone?

I have the same problem and can't find any threads here or elsewhere about the problem or solutions.

You can delete them straight from your iphone by using the following method....

Navigate to the podcast listing, swipe your finger left to right on it-should get a red delete button.
    Press it.

I would still like to be able to see them on my itunes though!

I'm having the same problem... called technical support and they said it must be a problem with the new update. ***?!?!

Maybe you can describe the problem in more detail - what are the settings in iTunes, for example.

In my iTunes Devices=> (my phone) => Podcasts tab, I have "Sync Podcasts" checked, and "Automatically include all unplayed episodes of all podcasts" checked.

All my podcasts that I have not explicitly trashed appear in this tab, even the ones that have removed from the iPhone automatically by iTunes. Whenever I have played an episode, or mark it as played in iTunes, or if I simply delete a podcast from iTunes's Library=>Podcasts list, it will disappear from iPhone. In the first two cases, the episode will remain in the device tab, unchecked. In the case the podcast is trashed in iTunes, it will completely disappear.

thats really all there is to the problem.... i manage the music manually but cant do so because they dont show up under the podcast section. The podcast section isnt even there anymore(under iphone not the library.)

Same problem here. If I add a new podcast in iTunes, the podcast section does show up but only lists the podcast I just added - none of the ones that were already on there.
%50 of what I use my iPhone for is podcasts and I always have quite a few on there, adding and deleting dozens each week so this makes things rather inconvenient.

    Hello,

I'm having the same issue here...
I found a temporary solution: create a smart playlist on itunes, using the "media kind" + "is" + "podcast" rule. You will be able to see all the podcasts stored in your iphone.
