Badge app icon not working for mail app.

I have a new iPhone 13 and I set it up as a new phone (not from back-up). The badge icon doesn’t appear when I have new mail. I just updated to iOS 15.6 but no change. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hello JVez19,

Since this began, have you restarted your iPhone? If not, we'd recommend doing so with these steps Restart your iPhone.

Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.
