MacBook Air white screen

Hi i have a problem with my MacBook. I’ve only had it for a year now and its been working fine until today. Yesterday evening i was watching videos on it and everything was okay but today when i turned it on, the screen went black, then with some stripes and dots and then it went white and nothing happens. I didn’t spill anything on it, it was fine just yesterday ;(

Here is Apple guidance: If your Mac doesn't turn on - Apple Support

Two days ago my 2016 MBP spontaneously restated and brought up a folder with a question mark on a blank screen. That means the OS is unavailable. You may have a similar problem.

I restored the OS from the recovery panel (Command +R at startup) and so far all is well. Things happen even to relatively new computers.

Note the admonition to contact Apple support if Apple's written guidance doesn't help.
